Ideal for boats or rafts with towing capacity of ~800 LB, battery + 4 people

-- works very well with MinnKota Endura 30 LB thrust version of trolling motor.
-- Does what it says, holds type 24/27 Marine deep cycle battery
-- Very easy to install, very easy to use.

I have never used any kind of power center, was able to figure out its use in few minute's.

    great experience.

Great Emergency Power Pack Rated 5 out of 5 by TANSTAAFL
by TANSTAAFL from Sugarland, Texas USA on 2010-09-05
I bought this for emergency backup power(hurricane, etc.).

With a 56 amp-hour deep cycle battery and a small DC to AC inverter Duracell 813-0291-07 175 Watt DC to AC Pocket Power Source Inverter, it provided enough power for 15 nights of light with a 2-5 watt LED bulb, or a couple of days running a small fan O2Cool 1078 Indoor/Outdoor Battery/AC-Powered 10-Inch Portable Fan.

The whole package is light enough with the current 40 pound battery (unit is designed for a slightly larger type 24 or 27 battery) for my wife to move if needed, but I also purchased a small fold-up luggage cartSamsonite Compact Luggage Cart to make it easier to move.

To keep the battery charged, I picked up a Battery Minder Plus.

I'm very pleased with the unit. It appears sturdy. The re-settable breakers (rather than fuses)are a nice touch, avoiding potential problems with finding replacement fuses in an emergency. The plastic screw caps on the exterior terminals seem serviceable and a nice safety feature. The built in side handles work well.

The next step would be to add a small solar panel and controller. Adding even a 10 or 20 watt panel would be enough to support LED lights almost indefinitely, and (particularly with a slightly larger battery) would make a nice solution for remote cabin type lighting.

All in all, a very nice package for emergency backup power.

Well built abd super sturdy Rated 5 out of 5 by W. C.

The battery box is well designed with three carry handles for multiple means to move it around. The plastic case is super durable and strong with plenty of thickness to handle even the largest of batteries. The mounting kit and strap are good and allow for ease of removal when the need arises. The external trolling motor and accessory ports are perfectly located and protected by built in fuses. Worth the few bucks more over the competitions battery boxes.

Great Battery Power Station by MinnKota Rated 5 out of 5 by Counselor in Washington
by Counselor in Washington from Everett, WA USA on 2010-08-30
The test button is especially helpful to determine the power left in the battery. I use this with a trolling motor on my inflatable boat. The case is solid with a heavy duty handle. The top is held on with a thick strap that snaps together easily with the quick release buckle. The outside terminals make it easy to hook up your DC device or a battery charger without having to remove the battery. Inside connections allow for two DC sockets to be used on the outside.

It's great to have this battery case and power station to take out on the water that is protected from splashes and rain.

User Guide Rated 5 out of 5 by G. Mclain

I was sold on this before I ever received it, just based on all the reviews I've read. My only complaint is that it does not come with a user guide, and when you call Minn Kota they tell you it's pretty straight forward. Well, it probably is if you work with that stuff all the time....a heart valve replacement is probably pretty straight forward too...if you deal with it all the time!! I'm just the kind of guy if I'm getting into an area I'm not familiar with I like to read something to help me out....I'll keep cruising the internet
