How to Find a Boat Show

A Big Crowd looking at Boats Boat Shows are home to breathtaking sights of beautiful boats ranging from simple kayaks to some of the worlds most lavish yachts. A growing number of shows is also home to quite a number of sexy showroom-models (and I'm not talking about boats here). If you live in a state where some of these boat shows are held or are willing to travel to the bigger shows or settle for small-scale shows in your area, you'll be able to see all the marvel with your own eyes and shop around for a new boat, a used boat, learn about the latest technologies, gadgets, and much more.
When looking for a boat show near you, there are a few shows that you'll want to be aware of at the least.

Toronto International Boat Show

If you live in Canada or planning on visiting, the Toronto International Boat Show is a great option. This show takes place between January 10-18 in 2009 so you can make reservations now if you want to attend. There's also the Toronto In-Water Boat Show which takes place from 11 through the 14th of September 2008.

Both shows will feature some of the world's top brand-names such as Chris Craft, Grady White, Bluewater Yachts, Key West, Bennington, Lund, Bayliner, Carver, Craig Cat, Edge Water, Campion, Four Wins, Chaparral, Cruisers, Lazzara, Cobalt, G Larson, and Crownline.

Southampton Boat Show

Another one of the world's greatest boatshows takes place in the United Kingdom called the PSP Southampton Boat Show which last year had over 125,000 visitors discover exciting new features and explore over a thousand boats on display. This year's show (September 12 through 21st, 2008) they expect over 140,000 visitors

Whether you're interested in buying a boat, buying equipment or accessories, or not spending a single dime (other than on refreshments, travel, and ticket), these two boat shows are just two of the many different boat shows around the world. Obviously it's more feasible for a lot of people to visit a local boat show as they're easier and cheaper to get to, just Google for "boat show STATENAME" (replace statename with your state's or country's name).

The country and area where you live will have a huge effect on the different shows that are going to be accessible to you. If you don't live near water for instance you will obviously have to travel quite a bit if you want to go to one of these shows for yourself. There are no Boat Shows in the Sahara obviously ;)

These boat shows are definitely a great idea if you're looking for a fantastic new boat, regardless of the make or model. Just be sure to take your time and check out all the different boats present at the show before deciding on any boat in particular. Although one vessel may seem like the perfect choice at the time, you just may find another one that you like even better in the end.

Take your family and/or friends and prepare to have a great time at the show - even if you don't find a boat to purchase, at least you will enjoy yourself.
