Finding a Caribbean Cruise Ship for your Family

Keywords: Caribbean Cruise Ship

Years ago cruises were primarily for couples and a few singles. Families are taking cruises together more and more today. To accomodate families the cruise industry has changed quite a bit by providing programs and activites for all ages to enjoy aboard the ship and off the ship. Though there are some cruise lines that haven't quite come aboard in accomodating the family yet. In your planning for a family Caribbean cruise vacation you want to be sure that the needs of your whole family will be met by the Caribbean cruise ship. The following are some helpful tips is helping you find a Caribbean cruise ship for you and your family.

The first thing to do is look for a Caribbean cruise ship that is designed with families in mind. A family friendly cruise ship will have a program for children of all ages with a wide variety of activities to keep them busy and entertained. You don't want you children to be bored on a ship where there is nothing for them to do and nowhere for them to go so this is esecially important.  Check into the number of activities the Caribbean cruise ship offers for children and families as this will give you an idea of how much the family is a priority to that particular cruise ship. Others things to check out is how they handle infants and toddlers on the ship and if there is babysitting provided.

The ship's dining options are another area that should be checked into when trying to find the perfect cruise. Taking their small children into a formal dining room every night which serves fancy gourmet meals is not always preferrable to many parents. There will be food that children will actually eat as well as various dining options on cruise ships that are family friendly. There are plenty of menu choices for every one to enjoy a great meal in the buffet restaurant. Some Caribbean cruise ships have programs that allow children to eat with their youth directors so mom and dad can enjoy the gourmet food in the formal dining hall a night or two.

Caribbean cruises are quite popular which is why there are many cruise lines that offer such a vacation package. To know which company offers the best Caribbean cruise that will fit your needs could be quite a task. On the surface it may seem that all cruise lines are comparable with one another, however, there are some differences that might help you decide which Caribbean cruise line is best for your vacation needs. Some of the following tips can help you make the right choice for you.

The first tip is to check the itinerary of each Caribbean cruise line you are considering. As you look deeped into Caribbean cruises you will see that there are a variety of adventures from which to choose for you and your family.Your can take a cruise that will tour the southern, western, or eastern Caribbean. The ports to which a cruise line willl stop can vary from cruise line to cruise line. Be sure that the cruise you choose make stops in the areas of the Caribbean you really want to see.

The excursions that are offered for passengers may vary from cruise line to cruise line. Check to see if the excursions offered by the cruise line are enjoyable for the whole family or more for adults and couples. Your choice of Caaribbean cruise line could be narrowed down due this fact.

Not all cruise lines provide an environment for children. If the cruise is family oriented they will have facitites and programs specifically for children aboard the ship and well as excursions that are suited for families.  Adult only cruises will have a more relaxing atmosphere and activities of their own to enjoy. You can choose the cruise line that will offer the kind of Caribbean cruise you are looking to take by yourself or with your family.

Another tip for selecting the perfect Caribbean cruise line for you is the dining preferences. You may find that not every cruise offers optional dining times, they may only have sceduled dining for their passengers. Scheduled dining used to be the only dining option offered on the first cruise ships. More and more cruise lines are starting to offer various dining options for their passengers. A scheduled dining time doesn't always meet your needs so you may want to look into a cruise line that offers various dining options.

The final tip to choosing the best Caribbean cruise line is to ask your family and friends who have gone on a Caribbean cruise about their experience. You can also read reviews about certain cruises and cruise lines to help to decide which one will fit your needs. It makes a difference as to what kind of cruising experience you have when you choose the right Caribbean cruise line.

Getting new and or used houseboats can be one of the most thrilling things you will ever experience. If you are like many people, you will want to immediately call and invite many people over to rejoice. While it's understandable that you want to have fun while boating, there are many chores that must be done first.

You need to at least take care of some essential paperwork. The three most important sets include:

There is of course, the matter of registration and title. Number two, you should immediately take care of any outstanding taxes. Many accidents involve brand new boats, some before they have even been used. If you haven't taken the proper steps with paperwork, your brand new dream can turn into a nightmare. It is a mistake to invite your friends over immediately following the paperwork being completed, too. The stage where you can actually be good enough to impress your friends will take time, so you'll have to take your time and practice heavily on your new boat.

If this is your first time in owning a boat, you might wish to enroll in a short safety course so that you know all the important aspects of water safety. Even if you have previous boating experience, this vessel is new and different from the other ones. That first trip should be with a boating expert, so that they can assist you through the basics. Maneuvers such as docking and turning in tight spaces require practice, and mistakes can be expensive! You should be comfortable at the helm before taking passengers on board.

At this point, you could potentially invite some friends to join you, but there is still one last thing to think about. You have probably spent a lot of money on your new boat, and if so, you will want to make sure your investment is protected. You may know where you plan to store it or dock it, but you probably haven't considered that yet. Even if you have a great place to store your new toy, this will do you little good if you do not carefully consider how to protect your boat from the elements. Don't be put off by the money you have to spend on maintenance, as the preventative measures will save you time and money over trying to fix damage once it's been done.

The key to protecting used houseboats is getting the right cover and attaching it properly. Getting the correct cover will require you to sort through the different shapes and sizes to come up with one that is custom designed for your boat. There are many different fabrics to chose from as well, and you have to choose carefully, because this can make a huge difference. You can get a lot of enjoyment out of boating if you take the time to do the chores required ahead of time. To find more used houseboats for sale search online.

Techniques For Crappie Artificial Baits

You will want to follow these simple steps to increase consistency whenever you go crappie fishing.Once you learn what you need to do in different water conditions you may never go back to using live bait again. Please refer to the guidelines below these are some of the oldest crappie fishing secrets and have been handed down from father to son for years.

Guideline#1 Water clarity determines what kind of crappie fishing jig you want to use.

#1.a If you can see 3-4 feet down into the water , it's clear and you want to use dark colored crappie fishing jigs. In essence, the fish can see "too well" and you want them to focus on the movement of your crappie jig to stimulate them to bite.

#1.b if the water color is darker and you can't see 3-4 feet below the surface use a lighter colored lure so the the crappie can see it. make sure you ad this tip to your artificial crappie baits usage list.

#1.c if the water is muddy or murky you need to use some flash on your crappie jig. Use a 1/2" to 1" blade , tie it above the crappie jig.

Guideline#2 Use a "slip bobber". The "slipping action makes sure the bobber doesn't come out of the water when you are jigging. this is a little used crappie fishing secret form the past.

Guideline#3 Use a "split shot" above the slip bobber to control the depth of the crappie jig. Try to work the 4-8 foot range by readjusting the "spit shot" so that the crappie fishing jig is at different depths. Do this until you find the depth that hits.

Guideline#4 "Pop" or jerk your slip bobber so it makes a 3 to 4 inch movement through the water, make sure you do this gently.

Guideline#5 If you do not get any bites , adjust the depth. The colder it gets, the deeper you will need to go. The warmer it is, the closer the fish will be to the surface. this is a little used crappie fishing secret.

Well, I hope the guidelines help you improve your crappie jigging success in the future, good luck and good day!

Crappie may be hitting on a variety of different food sources on any given day. If you select the correct artificial bait for that day or a certain seasonal situation you are going to catch fish, and if the crappie are hitting heavy you will catch allot of fish.

You should have a variety of different crappie fishing artificial baits in your tackle box, remember you are trying to imitate the crappie's food source the day you go fishing. Please feel free to use our suggested list of crappie bait selections. Half the battle of selecting artificial baits is knowing what to buy.

#1 You can purchase your crappie fishing jigs on line,at large department stores or at your local bait shop. You may pay a bit more at the local bait shop but you can also get great local tips of what crappie artificial have been working best. One key factor when you look for crappie fishing jigs at any of the locations is to select jigs in the weight sizes of 1/32oz to 1/8oz.I personally use jigs in the 1/32 to 1/8 once size.Crappie fishing jigs have most of their weight concentrated in the jig head. Also, jigs are packaged and marked with there weights and sometimes the hook size.

#2 You will need to have an assortment of crappie fishing jigs. Your first jig to look for is commonly called the "curly tail jig", remember look for sizes from 1/32oz to 1/8oz jig.The curly tail is made from plastic.I would recommend you do a search on google using "curly tail jig" as your search term so you can see a picture of the this crappie fishing jig. This jig is one of the most common crappie jigs used by crappie fisherman and is very inexpensive.

#3 Your next crappie jig to look for is called the "marabou jigs" I would recommend you have and assortment these jigs in your crappie fishing artificial baits list also. The marabou jig comes in a variety of colors. The marabou jig has a head just like the curly tail jig but instead of a plastic "curly tail" there is hair, or something simulating hair.I also recommend you do a google search for this jig to see what it looks like.

#4 You should have some "weedless spinner baits" in your tackle box.Weedless spinner baits are a little more complicated to select. The weedless spinner bait can have a variety of different crappie fishing jigs attached. The majority of them will have either a "curly tail jig" or "marabou jig attached.Again, do a google search using "weedless spinner baits" to see a picture of the crappie artificial bait.

Old School Crappie Fishing Family Secrets

How To Catch Crappie Minnows

If you are a beginning crappie fisherman and you want to give yourself a chance to catch some crappie, Then I suggest you fish with live crappie fishing minnows. Also, if you have a limited budget for bait I have some suggestions below on how to catch a bunch of crappie minnows quickly and for free.

The best thing about this is, crappie minnows that you catch come from the crappies natural environment, in the exact water you will be fishing. Bait shop minnows are sometimes caught at different bodies of water, and will be "foreign" to crappie which can cause crappie to reject them as a food source. Plus, bait shop crappie minnows are usually more fragile-i.e. older, and dying from being in captivity. Amazingly this is a little used crappie fishing secret , that few fisherman use these days.

STEP#1 Walk around the lake looking for "shaded areas" close to shore. The best place to catch crappie minnows is by boat ramps or boat docks. Possibly because that is where fisherman dump their bait after they are done bringing their boats in.. but also because these areas offer good "cover" for minnows, along with food sources.

STEP#2 You want to target water 4-8 feet deep.

STEP#3 You need to purchase a 3-4 foot crappie minnow casting net that has 1/4" netting. Now cast your net out across the surface of the water. The net needs to land flat to be successful at catching your crappie minnows. This may take some practice but you will get the hang of it.

Step#4 If you can't find any good areas to cast your net or your just not catching anything , then I suggest you try it at night. You will need a good submersible fishing light to be successful at night, but your chances of success will be much greater. The submerged fishing lite will attract minnows like crazy! you can either use your cast net, build yourself a minnow trap and drop it down near the submerged fishing light or use a bait store dip net. All these methods work great and you will catch your crappie fishing minnows in no time flat.

Well I hope these tips on how to catch crappie minnows help you. This concludes part there of our Crappie Fishing Secrets Series.

Old School Crappie Fishing Family Secrets

Okay, lets be honest, no one likes to be bested especially fisherman. if you ever have sat around chewing the fat with other fisherman you know what I am talking about. Most of the stories get taller and taller about the large slab "that got away" as the conversation goes on. We would like We would like to share some crappie catching secrets that i am sure you will be interested in. Wouldn't you love to show of a giant 2lb slab to all your fishing buddies? Well read on and use these great crappie fishing secrets.

You will find crappie catching secrets here that may seem like common sense but they go back generations of family tradition. Even if you are a experienced or just sometimes fisherman these tips will work for you.

First, What's in your crappie fishing tackle box?

The first part of our crappie fishing secrets article series will focus on what you have in your tackle box and what we recommend you should have. You should have a spare spinning reel one that holds 4 to 8lb test mono-filament line. As a rule of thumb, a good all purpose reel would have a 4-4.5:1 gear ratio. This is a medium speed reel. The reel should should a consistent drag that pulls out steadily without sticking at any of the drag settings. Having the correct reel is very important if you want to catch crappie consistently.

Make sure you have a light weight crappie fishing rod. The one rod I would recommend is: The Ultimate by B'n'M is built to be a casting, flipping or jig rod for walleye, bass or crappie or use it to rig for live bait or jigging. With a strong backbone and superior tip action, these tough rods have Portuguese cork handles and one-footed aluminum oxide spinning guides for superior casting ability. They come in two lengths, 8ft and 10ft More length is better so get the 10ft rod if your thinking of buying. It is very important that you don't pass this crappie fishing secret up.

Purchase size 4 mustad or aberdeen gold , color hooks for crappie, commonly also called "perch hooks".

I recommend you have at least (5) pre-assembled crappie fishing rigs that have a double hook set in your tackle box.it is very important that you check with your states fishing regulations to make sure a double hook set is legal in your state before you consider using this crappie catching tip. To make a double hook set, slide a second hook over the barb of you crappie jig. This considered a double hook set.

Bobbers, big enough for the rigs , but not so big you can't feel the crappie biting. A bobber I would recommend is Bass proshops best seller, "Mr crappie rattling pair" they come in three sizes 3/4", 1" and 1 1/4"
