You will find that there are many Caribbean cruises offered by a variety of cruise lines these days. To know what the best Caribbean cruise is to take can be hard to find out. So you can have the cruise of dreams, each cruise line offers a variety of unique experiences to make it special. Choosing the best Caribbean cruise for you will depend on what your interests are. I would like to tell you about my favorite cruise to take? Having been on several cruises I would have to say that my favorite was the Heart of the Caribbean cruise from Royal Caribbean. This cruise is filled with activities and fun for eight days and seven nights! In my opinion it is the best Caribbean cruise.
This cruise starts in San Juan, Puerto Rico and visits the islands of the Caribbean for eight days.Everyday on board or off the ship is an exciting adventure.
Oranjestad, Aruba is the first place the ship docks. It is located on the southern coast of the Caribbean. Oranjestad, meaning “Orangetown” is the Dutch capital of this very important city in Aruba. You will enjoy the bright and colorful Dutch colonial architecture. Here you can explore the island and see many wonderful sights such as the California Lighthouse by caravan. Snorkeling is a great activity in Oranjestad.
The next stop that the ship docks at is off the Venezuelan coast at Willemstad, Curacao. Between Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao, also known as the "ABC Islands", the latter Curacao is the largest island. In 1954 it separated from the Netherlands yet you will find that there is still a very strong Dutch influence in its architecture and its culture. You won't want to miss the spectacular underground lake and explore the Hato Caves in Willemstad. No one should miss this underground world. It's spectacular. Some find the trolley-train enjoyable to take.
The next stop will be on the northeastern coast of the Caribbean at Philipsburg, Saint Maarten. There are two sides to this island, the Dutch and French. On the Dutch side you can find beautiful jewelry, excellent beaches, and night festivities. The French side of the island is famous for the shopping and the nude beaches. The island has numerous duty-free shops and boutiques so shoppers love to come here. Here you can find crafts, jewelry, art, leather goods, designer clothes, and tobacco.
The last stop on this fabulous cruise is in Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands. Purchased by the United States, Saint Thomas has so much to offer. Here you will find white sand beaches, excellent shopping, and great dining. In Saint Thomas the view of Magens Bay is stunning from Drakes Seat. You won't want to miss that.
I’m sure you can see why I think this is the best Caribbean cruise to take. Along with the breathtaking places to visit you can enjoy the many onboard activities that will make this trip a memorable one for sure. Come aboard!
