• Eat. Some would suggest this goes without saying. We need food to live right, so what's so great about cruise food? Well they have such a large number of places to find food and such as range of styles to choice from, you will literally be spoilt for choice. Try sampling a small amount of food from all the restaurants on board to make the most of having lots of top class chefs in effectively the same building.
• Swim. The majority of boats have more than one pool on board where you can have a splash about, swim some lengths or sunbath on a lilo. You can enjoy the sun from it's rise to fall as well because there are no buildings or trees around to block it out. More modern liners even have wave-riding machines or flumes on board so make the most while you can.
• Casino. You should definitely experience the buzz of the casino, even if they whole thing is a little bit out of your comfort zone. With an atmosphere you simply cannot beat, casinos are a great place to make friends and brush up on your betting skills. • Bar. There will be a number of different bars all over the ship and some luxury cruises are all inclusive, so there is no excuse not to sample some liquid delights. The bar staff are often well travelled and will welcome a break from making martinis all day if you ask them for something exotic. Get them to shake up your favourite tipple or put a twist on a classic drink. Drinking something traditional to country you are stopping of at is a great way to sample what you have in store for you.
• Shows. Cruise ships often book top performers to entertain their guests so you’re guaranteed to leave with a smile on your face if you take a seat at one of the on-board shows. Ask the staff around the ship for their recommendations and cruise reviews. They will know what is most popular and which ones you simply have to see.
